Many individuals may feel they don't belong in a church, perhaps to past mistakes or circumstances. Yet the truth is: GOD LOVES YOU! He desires a personal relationship with you, not based on your worthiness but on His incredible love. Church may be the perfect place for you to God's amazing grace and love

What Is Your Response to God's Love?

God has demonstrated His love for you. What will you do in response? And how do you know that what you want to do, is even the right thing to do? What if God wants you to do something else?

Fortunately, you don't have to guess or worry. God has made is clear what your response should be, and He has made it so simple to do. The Bible states it this way: "This is the message of faith that we proclaim: if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation...For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:8b-10,13)

Believe...and confess your belief. Believe that Jesus is who the Bible claims He is: the Messiah, the One who paid your sin debt on the cross. Believe that God loves you so much that He allowed Jesus to pay your debt and now freely, joyfully and willingly offers you forgiveness and righteousness for believing in Him and trusting Him! Just believe and tell God you believe. Tell Him that you want to live and walk each day in His love, and enter His presence (Heaven) when you leave this life.

Then next, go tell others what God has done in your life. And tell us by using the contact page. We would love to celebrate your new belief with you and give you a gift to help you in your new walk with Jesus.

The Problem

God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you through Jesus. But there is a problem. You are separated from God and as long as you are, you cannot have the relationship with Him that He desires for you and that you need. That which separates you from God is called sin. The Bible describes sin in many ways. Most simply, sin is your failure to measure up to God's holiness and His righteous standards. We all sin by things we do, choices we make, attitudes we show, and thoughts we entertain. We also sin when we fail to do right things. The Bible confirms that we all have this problem.

No matter how good any of us may try to be, none of us is truly righteous: "There is certainly no righteous man on the earth who does good and never sins." (Ecclesiastes 7:20) "There is no one righteous, not even one. There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away; all alike have become useless. There is no one who does what is good, not even one...For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:10-12,23)

Most of us like to consider ourselves as being good. Perhaps in brief moments of honesty, or despair, we know that is not true. Being good is a myth we each hold dear, but what does God say? The Bible says that every person who has ever lived has this sin problem. And therefore, each of us is separated from God because of our sin. No matter what you might think of yourself (or others think about you), you are included. No one is free from this problem, including you. You have a sin problem.

God's Solution

God loves His children, and He desires for you to join His family. But you have sin in your life which bars you from entering His presence or being a child of His. The great news is: He loves you so much that He sent Jesus to pay your sin debt – one you could never pay. This is God's great gift He freely offers to you. It is a measure and proof of His grace, mercy and yes, even His wonderful love for you!

The Bible states it this way: "But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!" (Romans 5:8) "He saved us – not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy." (Titus 3:5a) "For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift - not from works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

Jesus' Sacrifice

To become a member of God's family and be assured of Heaven for eternity, your sin problem has to be resolved. Think of it as a debt you owe, but could never pay. Jesus died on the cross to pay that debt for you, but it only gets credited to your account if you accept His gift. To do so you must believe Jesus died in your place, took your sin on Himself on the cross, and now offers you His righteousness.

Jesus' sacrifice provided the only way for you to have a personal relationship with God: "For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) "Jesus told him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" (John 14:6)

Your Response

God promises that if you believe Jesus sacrificed for you, and that God raised Him from the dead, you can live forever with Him in Heaven. Are you ready to accept His free gift...the gift of eternal life? Before you say, "Yes," you should understand what this commitment demands of you...what your response must be. You must:

Acknowledge you have sin in your life and need forgiveness, and a Savior to pay your debt. As part of this step, you must turn away from your sin. This is called repentance.
Believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This proves Jesus paid the full debt for your sin and defeated sin and death.
Confess Jesus is now your Savior and Lord. As your Lord, He has a plan for you – a path He has designed for you to walk, full of blessings. Following Him as Lord means surrendering control of your life to Him.
Receive Jesus as your Savior from this day forward...forever. That is, accept God's great love for you and what He did to provide a solution for your sin problem.
